Return the Arizona Corporation Commission to its original mission
Return the Arizona Corporation Commission to its original mission, advocating on behalf of Arizona residents and powering Arizona's future. In order to accomplish this we must elect Clean Elections candidates who are not beholding to monopoly energy corporations.
The Arizona Corporation Commission was included in the State's founding document, the Arizona Constitution as Article 15. The Commission, designed to make sure utility companies, rail lines and fuel pipelines were well maintained. Additional tasks were regulating the securities marketplace and over seeing all business, foreign and domestic, operating in the State. The mission of the Arizona Corporation Commission is to protect residents, of the state, against avaricious corporate interests.
In recent years monopoly energy corporations have used dark money contributions to buy and elect a majority of the commissioners on the ACC tasked with their regulation. The residents of Arizona have paid a heavy price for these actions.
